This dream world invaded with an obsessive fashion the glazed finish of the porcelain, the china, glassware and furniture with their fabulous entangled curves and counter curves combined with fireworks of color. Selected works : The Serving Cart - The Vase Serving Cart : It is the oldest piece of furniture in Maxim's restaurant. Made in 1893, this cart was ordered by Maxime Gaillard, founder of the restaurant. It remained in the restaurant until 1899, the year that Eugène Cornuché, the famous Maitre D', ordered the actual decor for the 1900 Universal Exhibition. At once both naturalist and zoomorphic, this piece is witness to the birth of Art Nouveau.
